O ser humano fica nove meses no ventre materno, mas precisa de uma vida inteira para amadurecer. O fruto da vida humana s\u00f3 fica totalmente maduro na hora da morte. A palavra paci\u00eancia vem de <em>pacio<\/em>, que significa sofrer e suportar. Ao sofrimento est\u00e1 ligada a ideia de que algu\u00e9m toma sobre si algo pesado que carrega, uma dor. Paci\u00eancia significa hoje, antes de tudo, longanimidade, perseveran\u00e7a, aguardar. \u00c9 a experi\u00eancia daquele que assume um peso. Qual \u00e9 o peso que a pessoa paciente carrega? N\u00e3o \u00e9 um sofrimento, \u00e9 t\u00e3o somente o tempo. \u00c9 o tempo em que nada mais pode fazer do que esperar. E isto \u00e9, obviamente, para muitas pessoas, o mais dif\u00edcil. Elas acham que t\u00eam sob controle cada momento de sua vida, que podem fazer tudo elas mesmas. Ser paciente significa estar simplesmente a\u00ed, esperar at\u00e9 que alguma coisa esteja madura. S\u00f3 aquele que consegue suportar o n\u00e3o poder fazer nada, o n\u00e3o ver nada, ou estar a merc\u00ea nos processos do crescimento e amadurecimento, somente este poder\u00e1 colher o que est\u00e1 maduro. Tem pessoas que sabem esperar, sabem esperar o tempo prop\u00edcio, ao passo que muitas outras pessoas precisam satisfazer imediatamente todos os desejos. Precisamos dizer que as pessoas impacientes n\u00e3o sabem esperar at\u00e9 que algo esteja maduro. Est\u00e1 dentro da natureza dos seres humanos? Quererem eles mesmos fazer tudo. Na espera sentem profundamente sua impot\u00eancia de que o crescimento e o amadurecimento n\u00e3o lhes obedecem, mas que \u00e9 outro, o processo interno, ou Deus que comanda o crescimento e o amadurecimento. Por isso, caro leitor, sejamos pacientes, saibamos suportar o tempo e amadurecer com o tempo.
