Na \u00e9poca n\u00e3o existiam \u00a0rodovias pavimentadas em nossa regi\u00e3o, com isso o trem se tornou o mais importante meio de transporte de passageiros e de cargas. Eram viagens seguras, que cumpriam seus hor\u00e1rios estabelecidos e com baixo custo para os usu\u00e1rios.<\/p>\n<p>O fato de se tornar ponta de linha da CPEF at\u00e9 1958, transformou Adamantina em um ponto de refer\u00eancia, com seu desenvolvimento ultrapassando outros munic\u00edpios instalados antes da Cidade Joia.<\/p>\n<p>No primeiro censo demogr\u00e1fico realizado em Adamantina no ano de 1950 o munic\u00edpio j\u00e1 possu\u00eda 35.223 habitantes.<\/p>\n<p>O desenvolvimento \u00a0ocorria em todos os setores, na urbaniza\u00e7\u00e3o, no crescimento comercial, na presta\u00e7\u00e3o de servi\u00e7os, sa\u00fade, educa\u00e7\u00e3o, seguran\u00e7a, lazer, no saneamento b\u00e1sico, energia el\u00e9trica, telefonia, na agricultura com grandes \u00e1reas de plantio de algod\u00e3o, amendoim, milho e o caf\u00e9 que destacavam a economia da Cidade Joia.<\/p>\n<p>Com essa economia forte e um futuro promissor, v\u00e1rias ag\u00eancias banc\u00e1rias aqui se instalaram.<\/p>\n<p>A economia do munic\u00edpio tamb\u00e9m era rent\u00e1vel com a comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de madeira, devido a derrubada das matas que disponibilizavam material de alta qualidade.<\/p>\n<p>Duas renomadas ind\u00fastrias que geravam muito emprego e produziam \u00f3leo de amendoim, comercializados em v\u00e1rias regi\u00f5es, at\u00e9 para outros estados.<\/p>\n<p>Essa ascens\u00e3o foi reconhecida em 1955, quando Adamantina recebeu um Diploma de Honra de Maior Progresso entregue pelo Exmo.
